However, if you don’t want to be in that hassle then you can use WordPress to make your website.
In the WordPress directory itself, there are 5000 themes present that have all the features like SEO friendliness, speed, navigation, and more.
You just have to add any of the WordPress themes on your website, do some customization, and you are done. Here I recommend You to Go with the Kadence theme.

What do you need to start a WordPress website?
WordPress is free and it doesn’t cost you anything for making your website on it.
However, there are other things you need to invest in to make your WordPress website.
Here are some important things that you need to start your WordPress website:
Domain Name and Hosting cost
Domain name and hosting are the bread and butter of starting a WordPress website.
And without that, you can’t start your WordPress website.
In layman’s language, the domain is the address of your website that your user has to visit.
And hosting is your home where all your website content is stored.
If you are just starting out and want cheap hosting then you can go for hostinger.
Hostinger is one of the A+ WordPress hosts out there and it has 29 million users around the world.
Every day it gets more than 15,000 signups which means 1 signup every 5 seconds.
I recommend the premium shared hosting plan because it comes with these features:
Here is a step-by-step tutorial on how to buy hosting from hostinger
Step 1 – Click here to go to the hostinger website.
Step 2 – Scroll down and select the premium plan.
Step 3 – Choose the 48 months plan to cut the cost. But if you can’t afford it then you can buy the 12 months plan at least.
However, if you don’t have that money then you must go for at least one year plan which costs you just 3,500 for the first year.
Step 4 – Make your hostinger account if you haven’t done that yet.
Step 5 – Select the preferred payment method and pay the cost of hosting.
In this way, you can buy the cheapest hosting from hostinger.
To install WordPress to your hostinger hosting you first have to click on hosting on the top navigation bar.
After that, you have to click on the domain you have to install WordPress on.
Next, scroll down and click on “auto-installer”.

However, if you have a flexible budget and want more functionalities then you can go for these two hostings given below
You also get a free domain and SSL with these two hosting providers as well.
Theme and Designing costs
WordPress is known for its wide range of free and paid themes.
Both of them have a lot of functionalities.
If you are just starting out and don’t have enough money then free themes are a good starting point.
However, if you want to take full control of the theme customization then you have to invest in a premium theme.
I personally use and recommend the Kadence theme.
It is a great theme with a lot of customization features even in the free version.
However, if you have the budget then you should go for the super-affordable premium version
Here are the annual pricing plans for this theme.
You can see this video by me if you want to know how to customize this theme
Kadence theme is both SEO friendly and also super fast which helps you to rank higher on Google.

Cost of Plugins and tools
Plugins and tools play an important role in your website’s success. It helps you make your website fast, cloak affiliate links, etc.
Here are some plugins and tools that you can use:
1. Rank Math SEO

It is the SEO plugin that I personally use on my website.
It has both free and premium plans.
The free one is sufficient and gives you a lot of advanced SEO features.
However, if you have a flexible budget then you can also for the premium version as well. It will cost you around 69$ and In INR it will be around 4400 Rupees.
2. WP Rocket
WP Rocket is the best premium speed optimization plugin for WordPress.
It can help you load your website like a cheetah in just a matter of clicks.
As I have mentioned that this plugin is premium so you have to invest some of your money to buy this plugin. You can get it for around 49$ which is around 3600 Rupees.
However, if you don’t want to invest your money in this plugin then you can go for the LiteSpeed Cache plugin which is a Free alternative to the WP-Rocket plugin.
3. Pretty Links
The affiliate link by default looks kinda fishy which can negatively affect your affiliate sales. And it is very hard to remember the URL.
So, to fix this affiliate marketers use link-cloaking plugins. They help you simplify your Affiliate URL which is easy to remember and you can easily share it with others.
It also helps you organize your affiliate URLs in the Wordpress dashboard and you can easily use them in blog posts by searching the link.
You can also get analytics tracking like how many users click on your affiliate links.
And one of the best link-cloaking plugins in the market is pretty links.
4. ShortPixel Image Optimizer
Using big and bulky images on your blog can slow down your website.
So to fix that you can use the Shortpixel image optimizer plugin.
It gives you 100 free image credits per month which are enough if you are just starting. However if you signup through my link You will get 200 images per month and you can even increase this quota by referring to more people.
However, if you have a lot of existing images on your blog then you can go with this plan.
It gives you 7,000 images per month and along with that 3,500 images per month as well.
5. Kadence Blocks page builder (Recommended)
Kadence blocks is a Gutenberg page builder for WordPress.
If you are using Kadence or any WordPress theme you can use it to make your website look beautiful.
I know that there are many page builders out there like Elementor and Thrive architect.
However, these page builder loads a lot of scripts which can make your website slow.
But on the contrary, this is not the case with Kadence blocks because these are just Gutenberg blocks that won’t hamper your speed much.
6. Updraft Plus
Do you know that 30,000 websites are hacked every day globally?
So it is super important to protect your website by taking a backup of it.
There are many backup plugins available for WordPress but the best one is Updraft plus.
However, if you have a limited budget then you can go with the free version of this plugin.
But if you really want to take the full backup of your website effectively then you should definitely invest in the premium plugin.
7. Wordfence security
As I have previously said that there are 30,000 websites hacked every day.
So, to protect your website from getting hacked you have to use a security plugin.
But the biggest problem with security plugins is that they can make your website slow.
However, this is not the case with the Wordfence security plugin.
Wordfence security plugin is a freemium security plugin that is rated 4.7 stars on WordPress.
It can protect your website A to Z from any hacking or malware attack.
Read this list of malware removal plugins to know more about malware detection and security.
8. Akismet Anti Spam
We get a lot of spam comments every day on our websites.
And it is extremely tough to remove all of them manually.
Also, if we let these comments on our website intact then it can cause a rise in your website’s spam score.
It can hurt your website traffic and rankings.
One easy peasy solution to this problem is to install the Akismet Anti-spam plugin.
You just have to install it on your website and you are done with these spammy comments.
9. WooCommerce
This plugin is for those of you who want to start your online e-commerce store.
It would help you add products to your website, cart, product rating, reviews, etc to your website.

You can easily see your website traffic, keywords that drive traffic, and much more straight in your WordPress dashboard.
11. Chrome extensions

It gives you all these features with this plan:
The Bluehost plus plan would cost you 5860 rupees whereas if you go with GreenGeeks plus plan then it would cost you nearly 7,000 rupees.

But in this blog post, we will just cover the essentials that you need to start an e-commerce website with WordPress in India.

So, to avoid overpaying and cut down the cost I would recommend you to start with only important things like:
- Good Hosting
- Email Tools (Start with FREE)
- Chrome Extensions (Mostly Free)
